Rossana & Jack - A Boho Summer Wedding

Rossana & Jack’s summer wedding at Bradwell Abbey was relaxed, colourful and full of personality. With their daughter Olive by their side, they created a day that felt completely their own, making the most of the venue’s flexibility, outdoor spaces and historic barns. The couple chose our historic Stone Barn for their ceremony, a beautiful space that comfortably seats up to 100 guests. Styled with flowing drapes and florals by Smell the Roses, the barn’s limestone walls and oak beams created a soft, romantic setting for their vows.

After the ceremony, guests gathered in the courtyard for confetti and drinks, with the black barn doors providing a timeless backdrop for group photos. The ceremony and reception barns sit just a short walk apart, allowing the day to flow naturally as guests mingled and celebrated.

Rossana and Jack took time for photos around the grounds, including the historic chapel and gardens, capturing relaxed moments with their daughter Olive. The variety of settings across the site makes it easy to move from couple portraits to family photos without leaving the venue.

Guests then enjoyed drinks and garden games in The Hovel, styled with boho furniture and lawn games from Dolly’s Vintage Tea Party. Having the freedom to choose their own entertainment helped create the laid-back, summer atmosphere Rossana and Jack wanted.

The reception took place in the Cruck Barn, which can host up to 150 guests and sits just a stone’s throw from the ceremony space. Styled with rustic details and warm florals, the barn was filled with friends and family for food by Squisito Deli and heartfelt speeches.

Rossana and Jack chose our Gold package, which included a drinks package and a starlight backdrop behind the top table, adding a soft glow during speeches and the evening celebrations.

As the evening continued, the barn was cleared for dancing and live music, with the couple’s first dance marking the start of a lively night - with plenty of space for bands, DJs and guests.
